The French International School
Located in Muharraq, the French International School of Bahrain offers top quality education, with trilingual teaching in French, Arabic and English, starting from 1st grade to 12th grade. At the end, the French High school diploma is worldwide recognized.
The implementation of a French school in Bahrain goes back to 1976.
The current premises located in Muharraq opened in the fall of 2000 and were inaugurated on the 14th of January 2014 by Mr. Dominique de Villepin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Education of Bahrain .
Since then, the school has expanded to become the French International School of Bahrain and be managed by the French Laic Mission. It ensures its missions under the supervision of the French Embassy in Bahrain.
It currently has 730 students composed of 43 different nationalities who receive direct schooling from nursery until high school , accredited by the French Ministry of Education.
The students of French International School of Bahrain study from a very young age in addition to French which is the language of instruction, Arabic and English . All students attaining 4th grade of study benefit from studying Spanish as well.
Students attending the French International School set for examinations of the national certificate at 3rd grade and senior year.
Numerous and diversified activities in school and outside the school are proposed throughout the year, allowing students to participate in international sportive competitions and to travel to France, among other activities.
The majority of instructors are detached from the French Ministry of Education. Some others are locally hired based on needed qualifications and benefit from lifelong learning as part of the network AEFE Middle East / Indian Peninsula.
