The France-Bahrain Alumni network was launched on Wednesday 27 November 2019 at a reception organized at the Résidence de France and chaired by the French Ambassador to Bahrain, Jérôme Cauchard.

The Under-Secretary of State for International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, alumni himself, participated in this launch event with 150 alumni and guests.
The diversity of Alumni’s careers in France (medecine, law, business schools, management, engineering schools, cinema, fine arts, etc.) was highlighted, as well as the steady year-on-year growth in the number of Alumni. The quality of studies in France, in Paris but also in many provincial cities where Alumni have studied (Aix-Marseille, Besançon, Clermont-Ferrand, Compiègne,...), the possibility of studying in English or the comparatively lower cost than other destinations were emphasized by the participants.

The evening, full of conviviality, was a success.

The network now brings together nearly 100 people and is destined to grow. It will offer Bahraini students who have studied in France a wide range of events organized throughout the year by its members, with the assistance of the Embassy:

-  networking events;
-  conferences given by French experts;
-  social activities with the French-speaking group and numerous cultural events in partnership with the Alliance française.

If you are Alumni and want to join the network, you can follow us on Instagram, Facebook
and send us an email at scac.manama-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr
