Official launch of the French Foreign Union in Bahrain [fr]

Mr. Rodolphe Melki, president the Bahraini branch of Union des Français de l’étranger, a French organization aiming to defend the interests of French citizens abroad, hosted in Manama, on April 29, 2017, the delegated President of the Union des Français de l’Etranger (French Foreign Union), François Barry Martin-Delongchamps, in the presence of the Ambassador of France, HE Mr. Bernard Regnauld-Fabre, to celebrate the relaunch of the organization.

The Union des Français de l’Etranger (French Foreign Union), or UFE, is a French organization with branches in more than 100 countries around the world where there is a significant French or Francophone population.

It was founded in 1927 aiming to create and maintain a close contact with French citizens abroad and is the oldest association representing French expatriates and is recognised as a public utility.

Last weekend, the UFE organized a pétanque tournament, in the presence of the world champion of the discipline, Marc Foyot. The tournament was won by Sheick Hamed.
