Embassies of France and Germany in Bahrain celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the Elysée Treaty [ar] [fr]

On January 22, 2018, the Embassies of France and Germany in Bahrain celebrated the 55th Anniversary of the Elysée Treaty with a jointly organized event including a fabulous classical concert by the Karlsruher Konzert-Duo and a cocktail dinner at the French Residence, attended by Bahraini officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

Signed on January 22, 1963 by Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer, this treaty aimed at achieving reconciliation between France and Germany, and set the goal of increased cooperation in the areas of international relations, defense and education.
