    United Arab Emirates ; November 2019 - According to Business France’s attractiveness dashboard, published in October 2019, France becomes more and more attractive every year. A finding that corroborates the Kantar Public study published in January 2019: 88% of foreign business leaders consider France attractive (4 points more than in 2017) and 61% believe that its attractiveness has improved in the last two years.

  • Training of French teachers in the design of a pedagogical Escape Game

    The Embassy of France in Bahrain, in collaboration with the University of Bahrain and, more particularly, the Centre des Études françaises, organized from November 4 to 7, an innovative training course for French teachers.
    This workshop was part of "Digital November, the month of digital cultures". This concept, introduced in 2017 by the Institut français Paris, encourages French network institutions abroad to schedule events related to the many areas in which digital technology can be used, such as the teaching of French.

  • The French Ambassador attended the International Maritime Multinational exercise IMX19

    The Ambassador and several of his colleagues boarded one of the boats participating in IMX19, the naval exercise taking place in international waters off Bahrain, on November 4, 2019.
    During the IMX19 naval exercise, which brings together 50 countries, the ambassador met with the team of French mine-clearing divers participating in the exercise.

  • 50th anniversary of the Alliance française in Bahrain

    The Ambassador of France, Mr Jérôme Cauchard, delivered the opening speech of the 50th anniversary of the Alliance française in Bahrain, in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, the Director General for Culture and Arts of the Bahraini Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikha Hala bin Mohamed Al Khalifa, the First Deputy of the Council of Representatives, Abdul Nabi Salman, the President of the Alliance française Foundation, Mr. Khaed Fakro and Secretary General Mr. Marc Cerdan, as well as the Director of the Alliance française in Bahrain, Saïd Nourine. The event welcomed some 200 people on Thursday, October 31, at the Jumeirah Hotel, and was an opportunity to celebrate the relations between France and Bahrain in the linguistic and cultural fields.

  • The “Climate: 360°” Exhibition. Let’s save the planet

    Jérôme Cauchard, Ambassador of France to Bahrain, spoke at the opening ceremony of the “Climate: 360°” exhibition, organized by the BNP Paribas Foundation in cooperation with the Bahraini Authority for Culture and Antiquities and the Supreme Council for the Environment in Bahrain, on Thursday, October 31. He delivered an address, as well as Her Excellency Sheikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director General of Culture and Art of the Bahraini Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Jacques Michel, CEO of BNP Paribas Middle East and Africa, Dr Mohamed Bin Daina, Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Philippe Ciais, Director of Research at the Climate and Environment Sciences Laboratory.
    The exhibition will be open to the public in free access from November 3 to 14 at Studio 244, Arad Bay.
